The Alfa Romeo 145 and 146 are small family cars. Both cars are built on the same chassis, borrowed from a Fiat Tipo and share the same assemblies and interiors. The 145 is a three-door hatchback and the 146 is a five-door hatchback. These cars replaced the obsolete 33 model. The new models had a spacious and unique interior that attracted a lot of attention. The exterior design continued the Alfa Romeo 164 tradition - sharp style, with elongated narrow taillights. The slightly more conservative 146 model had greater commercial success than the 145, which proved too avant-garde to buyers. Both cars were praised for their sharp handling. The cars in the first series still had old boxer-type engines borrowed from the old 33 model, and the most powerful 2.0-liter Twin Spark engine that was already used in the 155 Alfa Romeo was recently introduced. Finally, in 2000, the cars were replaced with a brand new 147 Alfa Romeo, which was much more commercially successful but lost something of the alpha that the 145 and 146 models had.
The Alfa Romeo 145 was produced with extremely rare boxer-type engines with 4 cylinders. These are mostly used by Porsche and Subaru.

1.9 jtd good engine economical
perishable, noisy, difficult to manage.
It looks pleasing, but the end is relatively beautiful, a lot and who doesn't like it. I drove with petrol 1.7 boxer it got the sound of the engine but in two years I didn't fix it completely because one end breaks down the other ...

double impressions
My rating  My rating Recommended
good Italian style, corrosion resistant, pleasant and precise control, one can press and admire how beautifully the engine works.
various assemblies are often damaged, a lot of petrol is swallowed, little space on the rear seat, weak generators, petrol pumps, timing belts, probes, injection system
interesting machine she is. liked the sporty design (not in vain Italian). there was only enough space at the front, there was almost no space at the back (my height was 1.90 m). if it?s 146, you?ll have a roomy trunk, and if it?s...

Alfa Romeo 145 is a very beautiful looking car. Place it next to the same year's production VW, Fiat, Peugeot - it will definitely stand out with its impressive design. There are still many cars of this model in Europe, less in Li...

A car with whims, requiring good care and a master who knows his job (in Lithuania, their units that understand these cars). Some parts cheap (filters, belts) some expensive (variator, air flow meter)...
