In 1992, a 2-door convertible model was introduced. It was basically the same B4 sedan with a shortened wheelbase and a replaced rear end. The modification of the convertible was produced on the coupe version only with a reinforced chassis until 2000, long after neither the B3 nor the B4 versions were produced. The convertible version had a reinforced windshield frame. The coupe / convertible models belonged to the Grand Tourism style - a comfortable luxury car with a sporty character, but the car was really not easy (especially with the 2.8) unlike many other lightweight sports cars. These models differed from the usual 80/90 models in that they were made much more often with a leather interior, wood inserts, additional gauge sensors at the bottom of the center console, and a button that locks the rear differential. This convertible was the first soft-roof car in Audi history. The cars were manufactured with 2.3 L 5-cylinder, 1.8, 2.0 L 4-cylinder, 2.6 L, 2.8 L V6 and 1.9 TDI diesel engines. The coupe model was removed from production in 1995/96, and the convertible, as we mentioned, was produced until 2000. Both the coupe and the convertible have been replaced by a small Audi TT coupe and roadster.

In Lithuania, it is very short to enjoy an open roof
The biggest nonsense I read here is that the audi convertible was made with a quattro system: D 2.3 20v engines were also no longer fitted to the convertibles. but instead a diesel 1.9tdi 66kW engine was fitted....
