The name Chevrolet Malibu comes from the town of Malibu in the state of California and it is a mid-range car manufactured by the concern General Motors. This generation of Chevrolet Malibu is built on the GM Epsilon II platform (same as the Opel Insignia) and this time makes its debut as a global model (it will be sold in more than 100 countries on 6 continents). The car does not boast an exclusive design, but such a formula has often proved to be a success. The Malibu's boot is clearly reminiscent of the BMW E60 5 Series, with the Lexus GS taillights and Kia Optima on the front. Kagi, the Chevrolet developers still managed to combine everything in one model. Inside, the Malibu stands out with its touch-sensitive screen and purely American instrument panel design (somewhat similar to the Opel Insignia). And although the metallized and chrome trim details don’t look high quality or serious, it enlivens the interior look. The cars are equipped with a Chevrolet MyLink system that can connect the electronic devices in the car via a wireless network. In Europe, the Malibu is equipped with one of two four-cylinder engines: a 2.0-liter, 160-hp turbodiesel or a 2.4-liter, 167-hp petrol that are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
