Following an alliance with Italian concern Fiat in 2009, Chrysler introduces its new work, the Chrysler 300, which will also be produced in Europe as the Lancia Thema. The car's designers retained the very best features of the predecessor - a bolder shape, small window openings and huge wheel arches. To these exclusive features of the car were added a little more subtle details - slightly beautiful LED headlights, a bit smaller radiator grille, perfectly integrated rear lights. As a result, the Chrysler 300 looks more graceful, though it has actually become even longer and wider. Interior designers have also tried to justify the name of a higher-class car - here the design has become more subtle, the steering wheel and instrument panel covered with leather, only cheap wood imitation and not very solid blue instrument lighting may not appeal to refined European buyers. Another issue is the interior space - while there will certainly be enough legroom for rear passengers, the headroom is limited and the 481-liter capacity of the narrow boot is lower than the class average. The most popular engine, the 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 540 Nm of torque delivers great power and goes well with the car’s gentle suspension behavior on the road. The smallest petrol engine is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 292 horsepower (218 kW) and 350 Nm of torque. A version with the old 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine with 363 hp is also available. The most powerful version of the SRT is equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi engine with a "decent" 465 hp (347 kW) and an "indecent" 637 Nm of torque. Despite its advanced multi-lever suspension, the Chrysler 300 won't be a cornering champion - the car is a bit clumsy on the road and not designed for a fun ride on winding Alpine roads.
