Chrysler unveiled the third-generation legendary Dodge Challenger, which made its debut in February 2008 at the Chicago Auto Show and the Philadelphia International Auto Show. This new car is a four-seater coupe with a standard 3.5 L SOHC V6 engine with 250 hp (190 kW) and 339 Nm of torque. The car is obviously similar to the first-generation Dodge Challenger, but is significantly longer and taller. The car’s chassis is a modified LX platform used by the Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300. The most powerful variant is the Dodge Challenger SRT8 with a 6.1 L Hemi engine and 425 hp.
This is only the third generation of this model. The previous two were produced from 1970 to 1974 and from 1978 to 1983.

The Dodge Challenger has many common chassis components with the Mercedes-Benz E and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

2011 Dodge plans to replace the most powerful 6.1 Hemi engine with an even more impressive 8.4-liter V10 borrowed from the Dodge Viper.

Chrysler’s Challenger R / T is used in NASCAR racing.

Chrysler is driven by Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Turkish basketball team, and NBA player Hidayet Turkoglu.
