Here’s the new and first Ferrari with an eight-cylinder center-mounted turbine engine. Anyone who has had negative thoughts about the operation of the turbine engine, engine noise and other similar things can be immediately reassured that the car is amazing in all respects. The design of the new Ferrari is hard to find any flaws. Yes, this is an evolution of the 458 model, yes, there are very few changes, but all the lines have become even more dynamic, more elegant, even more beautifully "painted". I wonder if the designers were able to make the lines of their perfect predecessor even more perfect? Indeed, there are no limits to art. Inside, the car also remained very close to its predecessor - 458 fans of the model will feel at home. In fact, the new model has 85 percent new parts, making the 488 GTB more perfect in every sense - the modified California T engine is a 3.9-liter V8 generating 660 hp and, as such, a remarkably high 760 Nm of torque for such a small car. For comparison, the predecessor 458 generated 564 hp and "just" 540 Nm of torque. The new model is also 10 kg lighter, generates 50 percent more clamping force and has the same coefficient of air resistance. And what about that turbine? In short, great. Depressing the pedal to the bottom while moving makes it even difficult to tell if a car has a turbine or not - the engine responds so quickly. And it is felt when driving at any speed, in any gear. The engine definitely sounds like a mid-mounted V8. Yes, maybe not as loud as the 458 (which in fact is sometimes even too loud), but still perfectly matched and definitely emits the sound of a sports car. On the road, the car behaves even better than its predecessor - this affects both the brakes, the suspension and the gearshift speed. Even strange as such a small car contains everything that excites a true sports car fanaticism.
