The Kia Rio is a new, extremely strong competitor in the small car class, comparable in quality to the Renault Clio or Fiat Punto. Rio aligns with its larger and already acclaimed brothers Kia Magentis or Kia Sportage in its design, and it does quite well. Inside, Rio meets a lot of space - Kia says the Rio has the largest space in its class for front-seat passengers. In addition, the materials used in the car do not look cheap or of poor quality. The trunk of the car reaches 288 liters and the rear seats can be folded in parts. On the way, Rio behaves very calmly, quietly and doesn’t even smell sporty or dynamic, but that’s not what Rio is all about. This is a car for those who appreciate practicality. One of Rio's engines is the 1.1-liter diesel CRDi, which boasts the title of one of the most economical non-electric motors in the world - on average it burns just 3.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers and emits only 85g / km of CO2!
In 2011, the Kia Rio was named Irish and Carsguide magazine's car of the year, beating such impressive competitors as the Range Rover Evoque.
