The Regera was designed as a more practical and luxurious alternative to the Spartan Koenigsegg Agera and One: 1 models. Koenigsegg says the Regera will be the most powerful and fastest mass-produced car. This powerhouse with a mid-mounted engine could easily compete in the LMP1 class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In addition, this will be the first time that Koenigsegg will produce two models simultaneously. The word “Regera” in Swedish means “to manage” and it kogero says it all. The new "master" of roads and tracks has a hard-to-understand 1822 hp and 2000 Nm of torque. While the company avoids calling the car a hybrid, the Regera does - it has a traditional 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine as well as three electric motors. Two of them are mounted on the rear wheels and one on the crankshaft. The difference from other hybrid cars is that there is no real gearbox, only a hydraulic connection with a differential connecting the engine to the rear wheels. This system is called Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD) and the company claims it is better than any other hybrid system developed to date. So this car is not unnecessarily considered one of the most expensive cars in the world, costing about $ 2 million.
