The next-generation Lexus ES was unveiled on April 4, 2012 at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. This sixth-generation Lexus was introduced with two engines - the petrol version ES 350 and the hybrid version ES 300h. Despite the fact that the new EU and Toyota Camry still use the same platform, the two cars are less mechanically related, as the EU now has more in common with another Toyota model, the Avalon.
