Mercedes-Benz C Class, 2014 - 2021

The new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class is clearly designed not to catch up with the competitors, but to outperform them in all respects. Anyway, this is the company's best-selling model - every fifth Mercedes produced is a C-Class model. The rookie’s design perfectly took over the new Mercedes style already seen in the smaller A-Class, CLA-Class and flagship S-Class models. The use of a rather sleek, soft line style is especially noticeable at the rear, with accentuated lines on the sides all the way to the rear wheel arches. It seems Mercedes designers have not invented anything new, but the result is very attractive. There are big changes in the interior - not only a completely new style, but also much higher quality materials. It is in the interior that all the progress that has been influenced by the strong criticism of the old C-Class is felt. Another advantage is the quiet interior, the silence of which is somewhat disturbed by loud diesel engines. The new Class C has become 95 mm longer and 40 mm wider, but the weight has been reduced by a total of 100 kg, which has also affected handling characteristics - the car now listens better and behaves more reliably when cornering. Larger dimensions also mean a more spacious interior, especially for front-seat passengers. Those sitting at the back may lack space for their shoulders and head - the slope of the roof is quite strong. The trunk has also become more spacious. Its volume increased to 481 liters. At the start of production, the C-Class Mercedes-Benz will be available with two diesel and one petrol engine, but new engines, including a hybrid engine, will soon be added to the engine range.
