Mercedes-Benz GLA Class, 2019 - present
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the eighth model of the current compact car range - the new GLA SUV. It is the smallest SUV of the manufacturer and is of course very similar to the A-Class Mercedes. But unlike the predecessor of this GLA, which looked like a Class A Mercedes on a higher chassis, this GLA looks more like an SUV, albeit a small one. This is due to a change in the proportions of the car - the second generation model is 104 mm higher than its predecessor (1611 mm) but 14 mm shorter. The width of the car without mirrors increased by 30 mm and even decreased with them: German engineers were able to make the car even more compact and manoeuvrable, while increasing the cabin space. This will obviously be felt by the rear seat passengers, who have much more leg and shoulder space. This is a rather rare case in the modern car market. Practicality is an important feature of this model, so the luggage compartment with a capacity of 435 l has not been forgotten, the rear seats are slid in a range of 14 cm and their backrest angle is adjustable. To accommodate larger loads, the rear seat is folded down as standard in a ratio of 40:60, and the dual boot bottom also allows for safe storage of small objects. The GLA is a compact SUV model, but stands out with a large engine range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the smallest at just 1.3 liters and the most powerful at the GLA 35 4MATIC AMG, with 225 kW (306 hp). True, this engine has a displacement of only 2 liters ... Buyers can also buy a version with a rechargeable hybrid power plant. In the interior we find a large LCD screen, turbine-shaped air vents, a lot of shiny details and eye-catching lighting of the interior details. Yes, it’s a typical Mercedes with an expressive, quality interior and we love it.
