Nissan Qashqai, 2021 - present
The Nissan company is not resting on its laurels and is relentlessly releasing all generations of its favorite crossovers - the second-generation Nissan Juke, which has become much more solid, and the company's bestseller, the Nissan Qashqai, have recently been unveiled. The two cars are somewhat stylistically similar, so it becomes clear what the next stylistics of the Nissan models will be - most of them will have sharp, V-shaped headlights and a thick chrome strip decorated with a radiator grille tapering downwards. These include the Nissan Sentra, Nissan Altima and the Nissan X-Trail SUV. A digital dashboard, 20-inch wheels, new exterior and interior, heated steering wheel, windscreen, optional massage seats, a return 4x4 with dirt and snow drive are the innovations Qashqai will introduce. The crossover became slightly larger than its predecessor - 35 mm longer, 32 mm wider and 25 mm higher, and the wheelbase 20 mm longer. Its rear doors open much wider, even at an 85-degree angle. Rear passenger legroom increased by 28mm, headroom also increased by 15mm across the sloping roofline. The trunk is also 50 liters larger thanks to a newly designed trunk floor and a more compact rear suspension. The Qashqai is built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-CD platform, which it shares with the third-generation larger Nissan Rogue SUV. The new Qashqai uses lighter and more advanced stamping and welding techniques to increase the strength of the structure and reduce the materials suitable for its structures. The bonnet, front fenders and doors are made of aluminum and are up to 21 kg lighter, while the tailgate is made of composite materials and saves another 2.3 kg. The base engine on the European market is a mild-hybrid four-cylinder 1.3-liter DiG-T turbocharged engine with 138 hp (103 kW) or 156 hp (116 kW). The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or Xtronic CVT transmission. The 156 hp power door with CVT gearbox is available with all-wheel drive. For the first time, the Qashqai model and hybrid e-Power, which has a power generation wheel, use the internal combustion engine only as a hybrid e-Power. This system uses a 154 hp (115 kW) 1.5-liter petrol engine and even an 187 hp (139 kW) electric motor, power generator and inverter.
