In 2017, Opel officially changed owners and moved from its American General Motors concern to the French manufacturer PSA (Pegeot Citroen). And while Opel has been constantly traveling from hand to hand, for the past two decades, Opel has been increasingly pleased with increasingly high-quality and attractive cars. This is confirmed by the latest really great Insignia and Astra models. Now is the time to revitalize even the most promising sector - SUVs and crossovers. Recently, the sympathetic smaller Crossland X appeared, and now the Grandland X, which replaced the less successful Opel Antara model. Both new Opel SUVs are built using the PSA car platform - the larger Opel shares it with the Peugeot 3008 and 5008. Unlike Peugeot SUVs, the Opel is designed to be likeable, practical, yet modest and not too different. This is logical - German cars have always been conservative, and buyers appreciate it. In addition, French carmakers are more inclined to experiment. So if you value a nice design, an affordable price, good quality, then the Opel Grandland X is just for you. Otherwise, pay attention to the Peugeot 3008, 5008 or Toyota CH-R.
