How can the perfect 911 series be better than its predecessor? There is only one answer - there are no limits to perfection. The new 911 series is indeed similar in appearance to its predecessor, but has become wider, the wheelbase has increased by 100 mm, the length has increased by 70 mm, has become 20 mm lower, and the weight has been reduced by 45 kg due to the use of composite materials and aluminum. There is a new design of the turn signals at the front and an attractive design of the rear lights at the rear. More changes lie inside the car - the 911 engine is mounted on the rear axle for the first time, not at the rear. The basic equipment includes a 3.4-liter opposition six-cylinder engine. It is much greener and slightly more powerful (350 hp) than the previously used 3.6-liter six. Speed up to 100km / h - in 4.6 sec. Another engine - 3.8 liters with 400 hp, speed up to 100km / h - in 4.3 seconds. The engines are equipped with a seven-speed manual or two-clutch PDK automatic transmission. The car now has an electric power steering instead of a hydraulic one. Don't miss out on sports enthusiasts - the power steering doesn't really spoil the great road feel so typical of the 911s. Among the systems we will find one of the most advanced traction control systems. On the road, the car does not lack explosive character, excellent properties in sharp turns and, of course, the excellent sound of the "raw" boxer engine. At the same time, the character of the 911 has become more polished, and on a rough road, the suspension works noticeably smoother. The 911 Convertible has a lightweight but soundproofed fabric roof. Thanks to the new concept, the roof is made of lightweight single-layer material. Previous models used multi-layer solutions that added more than one kilogram to the car’s weight. The rear glass window is simply glued to this single-layer roof. Great car - attention to detail and driver, a real icon of motoring. It remains to see the "loaded" versions of Turbo, GT3 and GT2!
For the first time in a production car, this generation 911 has a seven-speed manual transmission.

The new 911 Carrera S Nurburgring Nordschleife beats in 7: 37.9 seconds - faster than the Ferrari 458 Italia, Nissan GT-R or even the Lexus LFA supercar and even 12 seconds faster than the previous generation 911 Carrera S.
