Production of the first-generation Renault Laguna began in December 1993 and replaced the Renault 21 model. Initially produced only as a hatchback, later in late 1995 a universal version was introduced. And in early 1998, the Laguna was refurbished with a refurbished front with distinctive round fog lamps and the introduction of new DTi direct injection diesel engines. The car is a comfortable, typical French family car. Among the most common complaints is the rapid wear of the rear wheel bearings.
