The fourth generation Ibiza was presented at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The new model is sold with 3 or 5 door hatchback bodies. Available in three petrol engines: 1.2 to 70 hp; 1.4 85 hp and 1.6 105 hp. Diesel engine variants: 1.4 TDI 80 hp or 1.9 TDI 90 hp and 105 hp version. The most powerful version of the Ibiza Cupra has a 180 hp (134 kW) twin-turbocharged 1.4 TSI petrol engine and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The car is extremely reliable - in the reliability charts Ibiza stands above its relatives Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia. In a 2011 study by the German magazine Autobild, the Seat Ibiza was named not only as the most reliable representative of the entire VW group, but also as the most reliable small car ever tested (in a 100,000 km test).
