A quarter of a century ago, Subaru developed the coger's first all-terrain vehicle, and now it's back on the market with a new model. The car competes directly or indirectly with the Volvo XC70, Audi A4 Allroad, A6 Allroad, Volkswagen Alltrack and Opel Insignia Country Tourer. The Outback, like the older models, has a symmetrical all-wheel drive system connected to a 2.5-liter petrol or 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. Car design is an evolutionary legacy of its predecessor. The Outback looks very similar in both generations, the most notable changes being the koger-only front radiator grille and taillights. Inside, the Outback is spacious, has plenty of different storage compartments, and the 512-liter luggage compartment is comfortable to use. The suspension of the new car has become stiffer, which has resulted in better handling, but at the same time less comfort, especially when driving off-road.
