With the Toyota C-HR, the Japanese manufacturer applies directly to the top ten, this car is "doomed" to success. It’s a compact crossover that is highly valued in Europe, it has an exceptionally aggressive design like that of the hugely successful Nissan Juke, as well as a car with a hybrid drive that will soon become a necessity and ultimately a Toyota renowned for its outstanding reliability. So the car will definitely become loved and desired by all. The design of the car successfully continues the stylistics of Lexus and Toyota - a lot of different unexpected lines create a slightly chaotic impression, but when you look at it, the noticeable harmony of lines makes you pay more attention to the car. Thanks to the coupe’s style profile, the Toyota C-HR looks smaller than it actually is, although it is the same size as the Nissan Qashqai or Seat ATECA. Inside, Toyota designers are not disappointed - here we see the bold lines, the accentuated LCD screen in the center. Although its size and position may not appear comfortable for all drivers. What’s really interesting is the commendable quality of the materials - it’s a bit unexpected, but it again shows that Toyota isn’t going to ask for it with this model. There is also enough space for passengers ’feet, and the lowering roof is not as low as it may appear. Of course, it’s a compact car, so really tall passengers on the rear seats won’t be very comfortable. So the luggage compartment is more comparable to the Ford Fiesta than the SUV. The car is equipped with two engines - a 1.8-liter petrol / electric power plant and a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. Powered by 122 hp, the new Toyota Hybrid System is more efficient and lighter than the previous version and delivers even sharper driving sensations. The optimal configuration of the hybrid system, which was due to the adaptation of lighter and smaller elements and their reassembly in other places, helped to achieve a lower center of gravity of the car. This gearbox is equipped with a CVT gearbox. The 1.2-liter turbocharged engine, first introduced in the Auris, can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission designed to meet the expectations of European consumers. On the road, the car is also surprising - as far as the Toyota brand is concerned, the crossover is perfectly manageable. The fact that the company has paid a lot of attention to this parameter is evidenced by the fact that the rear suspension has two crossbars, which are usually mounted on sports cars. In addition, the center of gravity of the car is reduced by mounting the engine very low and at an angle. And the hybrid models have batteries mounted under the rear seat, allowing for optimal weight distribution between the front and rear axles. So the Toyota C-HR will similarly soon become a role model for all the plentiful competitors in the compact crossover market.
