The Toyota bZ4X is the Japanese company's first car from the upcoming bZ (jenseits von Null), a series of less-than-zero electric models. The electric car is built on the e-TNGA platform, which was jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru. This is a completely new platform that will be used to produce other Toyota and Subaru electric cars in the near future. The floor of this platform is equipped with 71.4 kWh Batterie. Toyota says it will retain as much as 90 percent of its efficiency in the first decade of its life. Battery quality and longevity are monitored by a monitoring system that frequently checks the voltage, current, and temperature in each individual battery cell. If deviations are observed, the controllers controlling the battery overheating are automatically activated. Cooling the battery with water will help to achieve this. The car has a lifespan of 10 years or 240,000 km. It was these goals that were set in the development of the bZ4X battery. It is also important that the thin battery pack is mounted at the bottom of the car under the floor and is part of the chassis, helping to ensure a low center of gravity and perfect weight distribution on both axles. The interior of the Toyota bZ4x gives a sense of space, and the panoramic roof provides space. Thanks to the long wheelbase of the e-TNGA architecture, the Toyota crossover has plenty of legroom and rear passenger space, with a boot volume of 452 liters. Available in two powertrains: the first with front-wheel drive and 201 hp and 265 Nm of torque. Speeds from 0 to 100 km / h are achieved in 8.4 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km / h. Because the new platform was developed in conjunction with Subaru, which is well known for all-wheel drive systems, the bZ4x is also available with two-engine four-wheel drive. It has 215 hp, 336 Nm of torque and a speed of 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds. Both versions have a maximum fast charging power of 150 kW. And that means 80 percent of the battery can be charged in 30 minutes. The Toyota bZ4X brings a number of smart technologies to the electric vehicle sector, such as a steer-by-wire control system. Named the One Motion Grip, this electronic control system is one of the most important new technologies introduced for the first time. There are now no mechanical connections left between the steering wheel and the wheels in the steering gear. Instead, an electrical system is used that transmits a signal from the steering wheel directly to the front wheels. This ensures an extremely fast reaction to the steering wheel and more precise control of the car. This eliminates the need for a standard steering wheel, so models with the One Motion Grip have a "computer-style" steering wheel / joystick instead of the classic steering wheel. The system can change the sensitivity of the steering wheel, and turning it from one extreme to another is enough to turn 150 degrees, so you never have to cross your arms or remove them from this steering wheel. The advantages of the system are that when driving on uneven surfaces, the steering wheel will turn less in both directions, it will be easier to adjust the driving trajectory in strong wind gusts, it will give more space for the driver's feet, improve the driver's seating position and make getting in and out of the car easier.
