The Toyota Supra is a sports coupe or convertible. The third-generation Supra was no longer a variant of the Celica - this time the two cars are produced as two completely different models. The Celica became a front-wheel drive car, while the Supra remained rear-wheel drive. Two main versions were produced: a turbo version with an engine of 230 hp (172 kW) / 5600 RPM and an atmospheric engine with 200 hp (149 kW) / 6000 RPM. The Japanese version of the Supra was even more powerful and had a 2.5-liter twin-turbine engine with 280 hp (209 kW). The Supra was extremely popular for its sporty, unique design and power. The car is very well controlled, especially at high speeds, and at the same time has Toyota’s reliability and comfort. Supra is popular with enthusiasts who like to modify a car.
An extremely rare version of the Turbo A was produced (only 500 units were produced) to compete in Group A ring races in various countries. This 3-liter engine had to compete with a lighter but smaller 2.4-liter engine, the R32 Skyline GTR. The latter easily "got along" with the Toyota Supra.
