Vauxhall Ampera, 2012 - 2016
The Opel Ampera is analogous to the Chevrolet Volt model recently introduced by General Motors. The main differences between these two cars are in the body design. Opel stands out with a memorable front and side-colored side trims. The Ampera also has an additional operating mode, City Mode, which allows you to use the electric motor alone more efficiently in urban conditions. However, the engine itself and the batteries at both the Volt and the Ampera are identical. This car will be able to run solely on an electric motor, its batteries will only need 16 kWh to fully charge, and the accumulated energy will be enough to drive 83 km. The Opel Ampera is a true electric car, as its wheels are directly powered only by an electric motor that develops 150 hp equivalent and achieves 370 Nm of torque. The maximum speed of this machine is 160 km / h. The engine is powered by a lithium-ion battery of more than 220 cells, which will require 16 kWh of electricity to fully charge. When the battery is fully charged, the Opel Ampera will be able to travel 83 km in urban conditions without emitting any harmful gases. For longer trips, the car's internal combustion engine, which will not turn the wheels, will charge the battery. In this way, the machine, according to the manufacturer, will be able to cover a total of 500 km when the fuel tank is full.
