Volkswagen Taigo, 2021 - present
The Volkswagen Taigo is a subcompact crossover designed to appeal to the buyer with an attractive exterior design. It’s the company’s smallest crossover, combining the dimensions of a small hatchback, the crossover’s practicality and the coupe’s car style. This car was first released under the name Volkswagen Nivus and introduced in 2020 in Brazil. It was released in Europe a year later under the name Taigo. Although a similarly sized T-Cross model is already being produced in the European market, the latter is positioned more like a budget family car without much more intent on grabbing its own style. Built on the MQB A0 platform, the Volkswagen Taigo is closely related to the sixth-generation Volkswagen Polo model, which shares the side door, windshield, roof top and most interior parts.
