A conceptual model called the Iroc was unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, a prophet of the new Scirocco. Introduced in 2008, the Scirocco can be equipped with three petrol and one diesel engine. The 4-cylinder 1.4-liter TSI with two turbines develops 122 hp (90 kW) or 160 hp (118 kW), a 200 hp (147 kW) 2-liter TSI petrol engine (currently available on Passat, EOS and Jetta models) and a 2.0-liter TDI engine with 140 hp (103 kW) (currently included in the Tiguan model). Three new Scirocco models took part in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, where they achieved great results - they took 11th and 15th place out of more than 200 participants.
The Volkswagen Scirocco is used as a sports car in a ring race. In the 2008 24-hour Nürburgring, the two Scirocco finished 11th (driven by Hans Joachim Stuck) and 15th (driven by Carlos Sainz) among 200 competitors, many of whom were much more powerful cars.

Volkswagen Scirocco participates in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship and is not fueled with petrol, but with biofuels.

Noticeable!

Control, reliability, appearance, low depreciation, quality in the interior, good insulation.
Price, although the interior trim is very high quality, but feels volkswagen conservatism even for a sports car.
I have had this car for about a year, I can only rejoice that the old dream of having a sportier but quite comfortable car has come true. I was really surprised by the control of this car, you can just enjoy driving in the city, b...

VW Scirocco 2009 1.4 90 kw
My rating  My rating Recommended
Fuel consumption, cheap operation, excellent handling on the road.
A little stiff
The super car looks great, is great to drive, and the exploitation is cheap. Great value for money. I have 1.4 TSI 90 kw. Traction through the eyes, and gasoline consumption up to 6 Liters. Only after buying prophylactically was a...

The temperament of this car fills the body with pleasant shivers. Thanks to the sports chassis in the base model and the dynamics of the various powerful engine types, the Scirocco looks passionate and powerful. Experience maximum...
