The T-Roc is a highly anticipated car. Not only because Volkswagen necessarily needed a compact crossover in its range, but also because this crossover, unlike many VWs, promised to delight with its exclusive design. And while the concept looked much more exciting, the serial T-Roc is also attractive and stands out from the crowd. It’s gratifying that the Conservative company has recently introduced such emotional cars as the Arteon and T-Roc. The new crossover is 4234mm long, 252mm shorter than the Tiguan and barely shorter than the Golf. However, the 1819mm wide and 1573mm high T-Roc is wider and taller than its sister Golf, so inside the compact T-Roc is much more spacious than the Golf, sitting higher, the visibility is excellent. What is a little disappointing is that the quality of the plastic in the cabin is poor (hard door top), more suitable for a budget car than for the Volkswagen brand. This becomes important when looking at the price of a car and comparing it to competitors. T-Roc like many VW is well controlled, the steering responds quickly to the driver's commands, the grip on the road is excellent, of course the suspension is a bit stiff. It is especially convenient to drive in the city - the compact T-Roc is fun, light, and it is very easy to feel the dimensions of the car. However, even on the highway, the crossover is not bad, maybe only large door mirrors make a noticeable noise. The new T-Roc is offered with efficient turbine engines: three petrol (TSI) and three diesel (TDI) engines. They come in three power levels: 85 kW / 115 hp, 110 kW / 150 hp and 140 kW / 190 hp. The 115 hp versions are powered by front wheels and have a manual transmission. With a choice of 150 hp engines, customers can choose front- or all-wheel-drive cars, as well as a 7-speed DSG. Cars with 190 hp engines have a 7-speed DSG as standard and are all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive T-Roc comes standard with a 4MOTION Active Control system that allows you to choose between driving mode: Street and Snow, and two off-road modes: Of Road and Off Road individual. All in all, it can be said that the prospect of the newcomer looks very good, buyers will definitely appreciate the solid image of Volkswagen and the attractive design. Success can only be hampered by the high price, especially given that the VW Group has recently introduced similar cars to customers: SEAT Arona and Ateca and Skoda Karoq.
