This great car is considered to be the Volvo that has given this Swedish brand the image of a prestigious car manufacturer. The Volvo 850 was produced with a sedan, wagon body and was one of the largest engineering projects in Sweden at the time. In 1995, a powerful version of the T-5R was developed with Porsche. Based on it, a Volvo 850 engine (B5234T3) with a turbine was taken, the pressure of which was raised to 2 MPa (0.1 bar) with the help of electronics, which gave an additional 18 hp (13 kW). In total, this engine generated 243 hp (181 kW) of power and 300 Nm of torque and was equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission. Despite its tight shape, this angled Volvo achieved an excellent air resistance coefficient of just 0.29. The spur from 0 to 100 km / h was performed in 5.8-6 seconds, and the maximum speed was electronically limited to 250 km / h. The T-5R was later refurbished and renamed the Volvo 850 R. Thus, the Volvo 850 is known not only as a practical family car or a car that dictates safety standards, but also as a dynamic and sporty sedan and station wagon.
