The Aston Martin DB9 is a GT-class coupe or convertible manufactured since 2004. The name DB means the initials of David Brown, the former owner of Aston Martin. This car replaced the Aston Martin DB7 model. The DB9 has a 470 hp (350 kW), 600 Nm torque 6.0L V12 engine borrowed from the V12 Vanquish. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 306 km / h. DB9 was supposed to be named DB8, but it wasn’t so named as to give the impression that the car has a V8 engine, and the car was a significant step forward from its predecessor, the DB7. In 2004, car production reached five thousand units per year, which is similar to its competitors Ferrari F430 and Porsche 911 Turbo. This car was designed to guarantee Aston Martin’s survival and prosperity in the 21st century compared to the problems that plagued the company in the late 20th century.
The name DB means the initials of David Brown, the former owner of Aston Martin.

Aston Martin DB9 Volante can be seen in the famous series "Frustrated Housewife".

Aston Martin DB9 racing versions for the ACO and FIA GT1 classes were developed. In 2005, the DBR9 car won its debut 12-hour Sebring race, followed by several American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, FIA GT Championships, and 24-hour Le Mans races. Weighing just one tonne, the 12-cylinder 6-liter engine accelerates to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km / h.
