The Aston Martin Rapide is a four-door sports sedan that the British company Aston Martin will introduce in late 2009 to compete with the Maserati Quattroporte, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, Audi A7, Porsche Panamera and Lamborghini Estoque. The car was presented as a concept at the North American International Auto Show in 2006. The Rapide name is a reference to the Lagonda Rapide model, a sedan produced by Lagonda, now part of the Aston Martin company. The car is based on the Aston Martin DB9 and will have a full glass panoramic roof, the first of its kind in the Aston Martin. Engine: 6.0 L V12 with 510 hp (380 kW) power, dynamics from 0-100 km / h in 4.8 seconds.
The Rapide name is a reference to the Lagonda Rapide model, a sedan produced by Lagonda, now part of the Aston Martin company.
 
The Aston Martin Rapide does have a hatchback body.
 
Aston Martin Rapide took part in the 2010 24 Hour Nürburgring, finishing second in the SP 8 class.
