The Audi 100 is a mid-size luxury car made with sedan and station wagon bodies. The new car was a heavily modified version of the C3 and received code C4. On the outside, the Audi 100 has become even more round and quite pleasing to the eye. Under the hood, new V6 engines have emerged - a 2.8 L 90-degree SOHC 12V and a 2.6 L version with a 60-degree layout. These same engines are fitted to the Audi B4, Audi 80 cars. A quattro permanent all-wheel drive system was also available. Later, in 1995, the car was renewed - it received a little change in the new headlights and taillights, a new radiator grille. At the same time, the name was changed from "100" to "A6". This model was produced until 1997, when the brand new A6 model was replaced. The Audi 100 C4 was characterized by excellent reliability, good handling, a comfortable, very quiet interior, spaciousness, luxury, good quality interior worthy of a luxury car. Drivers agree that the quattro system works well in particularly bad weather. Several complaints are related to somewhat weak engines and sometimes annoying minor failures.
