Audi A5 Sportback, 2009 - 2016
In June 2009, Audi introduced a new member of the A5 family, the A5 Sportback with five doors, a long body and a convex roofline. The five-door model with its characteristically long, graceful rear end combines the best features of different cars: coupe emotionality and elegance, sedan comfort and station wagon practicality. The Sportback joins the Coupe and Cabriolet and becomes the third member of the A5 family. The biggest plus of the Koger is the very comfortable and huge luggage compartment (320 liters - only 10 liters less than the A4), and the space for passengers' heads and feet is now the same as in the A4. Initially, the Audi A5 Sportback will be available with one of three petrol and diesel engines. The three petrol versions, a 2.0-liter TFSI with 132 kW / 180 hp or 155 kW / 211 hp and a 3.2-liter V6 with 195 kW / 265 hp, are compatible with valve lift systems. This feature allows you to achieve more power and higher torque with lower fuel consumption. Developing a power output of 125 kW / 170 hp, the 2.0 TDI engine consumes an average of only 5.2 liters of fuel per 100 km. road, and the start-stop system helps to save even more fuel while driving around the city. The 140 kW / 190 hp 2.7-liter TDI is even more powerful, while the 3.0 TDI with S tronic transmission develops up to 176 kW / 240 hp. Undoubtedly, the biggest competitor to this model will be the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, which tackles the same challenges. Which one will be closer to the heart of the buyers will show only in time.
