Appearing in production, the second-generation RS6 was the most powerful Audi car ever produced. Its main competitors in the market are the BMW M5 (5.0 L, V10 with 507 hp, 519 Nm) and Mercedes E63 AMG (6.2 L, V8 with 514 hp and 630 Nm). But Audi outperforms both of these competitors convincingly: the 5.0-liter 90-liter V10 aluminum engine with twin turbines and FSI fuel injection has four valves per cylinder, DOHC heads for each cylinder block and a variable valve timing system. This monster with two intercoolers develops a whopping 580 hp (427 kW) / 6250 power and 650 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 6,250 rpm. This engine is capable of losing a heavy car up to 100 km / h in just 4.6 seconds, and 0-200 km / h in 14.9 seconds, the maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h. In total, the car has seven radiators and four electric fans to cool the engine and other components under the hood. Like all Audi RS models, this RS6 is only produced with a continuous quattro all-wheel drive system with a power distribution between the front and rear axle of 40:60. However, if required, even 100% of the torque can be transmitted to the rear axle or 80% to the front axle via the Torsen T-3 central differential. The car is made with sedan and station wagon Avant bodies. The RS6 comes with a steel frame, but has aluminum front wings and a bonnet. Visually, the RS6 differs from the Audi S6 in its wider front and rear fenders in that it does not have front fog lamps to give as much space as possible in the air cavities, the front LEDs have been moved to the headlights. The front brakes are Brembo with six pistons, but an Audi Ceramic carbon fiber brake system is also available. So the car has all the data it needs to become a leader in its class, but will it be able to beat the all-revered BMW M5?
