Large and fast sedans and station wagons have always been the horse of the Audi company. As expected, the new S6 is even faster, even more comfortable and economical. This time, the new S6 under the hood has a smaller 4.0-liter V8 engine with two turbines that replaced the 5.2-liter V10 atmospheric unit. The new engine is analogous to the Audi S8 only slightly weaker - 414 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km in 4.6 seconds, and it is more economical than the old Audi S6 V10 engine. Like the S8, the Audi S6 also has an extraneous noise cancellation system that transmits sound waves that cancel out opposite wavelengths through the speakers. But at the same time, the V8 turbo engine sounds much quieter, which will not please S6 owners. The suspension of the new S6 has become stiffer, but the driver is given the opportunity to choose not only the suspension settings, but also the steering, engine, gearbox response settings and even the volume of the exhaust system. The car can grip perfectly on the road when cornering, but the S6's weight is always felt, the steering lacks information, and the brake pedal is a little too "soft". Where this car can look great is on endless highways. But again, then the question arises as to what is the Audi S6 on motorways superior to the cheaper, more economical Audi A6 3.0 TDI? Yes, the S6 is adorned with more aggressive bumpers, chrome mirrors, dual exhaust pipes at the rear, S6 badges in the interior and sporty seats, but will that be enough for buyers looking to stand out from the crowd, or maybe they’ll wait for the new Audi RS6?
