It is the largest, most luxurious and one of the most powerful members of the Audi family. The Audi S8 does not stand out with its aggressive air intakes or eye-catching details - it is a car with a sufficiently delicate design, the essence of which is the engine. The new model features a newly developed 4.0-liter TFSI engine with two turbines - one for each row of cylinders and an all-wheel drive chassis. Both the turbines and the intercooler are mounted between the cylinder blocks, rather than in the traditional location next to the engine. Thanks to this arrangement, the entire power unit is more compact. In this S8 model, the engine achieves a maximum power of 520 hp and 650 Nm of torque. This torque is developed by a huge sedan at the "most efficient" 1700-5500 rpm. speed range. Weighing up to 100 km / h, the two-tonne machine accelerates in just 4.2 seconds. In comparison, the S8 is 0.6 seconds faster than the Audi S6 and 0.7 seconds faster than the Audi S7. In addition, the new V8 engine is relatively economical (23 percent more economical than its predecessor V10) due to the fact that the engine can only run at 4 cylinders. The plus unit also has a Start-Stop function and an energy storage system. Inside, the already luxurious interior of the A8 has been further enhanced with a dashboard display that boasts an ultra-solid-looking black background, carbon-rich trim, and a front leather-wrapped combination of leather and alcantara. As befits, the S8's interior boasts not only exceptional comfort, but also extraordinary silence. Not to forget that this sedan is practical enough - it has a huge 510 liter boot with electronically raised boot lid, all passengers are pampered not only in comfort but also in a large space, thanks to various electronic devices the car is easy to park and the tank capacity is also impressive - 90 liters. True, the Audi S8 is not as engaging in the driving process as the rear-wheel drive S-Class Mercedes-Benz AMG.
