The Audi SQ5 marks a new era in the S-Series Audi range: the first S-Series parquet SUV and the first S-model with a diesel engine. Behind the hood of this modest but beautiful car lies a 3.0-liter V6 engine with two turbines borrowed from the Audi A6. The design of the car has changed little compared to the standard Q5 - 31mm lower, 13mm wider and 15mm longer, with silver side mirrors and roof racks, four exhaust tips at the rear and huge 21-inch rims. Inside, the differences are even smaller - only the great body-wrapping seats and SQ5 badges remind you that the car is not for the general public. When you start the engine, you are immediately surprised by its sound - the twin-turbocharged V6 diesel sounds like a V8 or even a V10 engine. This is because Audi has added a sporty exhaust system sound generator. Don't be fooled that under the hood, the diesel engine - this SUV reaches a speed of 100 km / h in just 5.1 seconds. This is achieved thanks to the following combination: 650 Nm of torque + four-wheel drive + eight-speed excellent S-tronic automatic transmission. True, the car feels uncomfortable when cornering - considerable body tilt, lack of accuracy and stability of the steering mechanism, and the suspension works extremely roughly - every unevenness of the road is felt. Remember - the Audi SQ5 only looks like an SUV, but its passability is very limited. But the car is practical - a considerable 520-liter luggage compartment can be increased to 1,560 liters, and rear-seat passengers won’t feel much discomfort.
