The BMW E90 3 Series is already the fifth generation and is available with sedan, station wagon, coupe and convertible bodies. Only the delivered car immediately became the best-selling BMW car in the world. The style of the E90 is completely new - interesting design, new engines, new transmission, interior, suspension and many new technologies. The E90 Convertible is also the first BMW model with a hard folding roof, and the turbo engines (300 hp and 410 Nm of torque) are back in the model. The E90 sedan is 49mm longer, 78mm wider and 9mm taller than its predecessor, the E46. As the wheelbase has also lengthened, the car offers more space for passengers ’legs and heads - an area where the older generation 3 Series has been heavily criticized. Aluminum is abundantly used in car assemblies to keep weight to a minimum. In 2006, the E90 was named World Car of the Year by 46 international journalists for its excellent balance between dynamics and practicality, between style and solidity, as well as its excellent diesel engines and all-wheel drive system. Car and Driver magazine ranked the BMW 3 Series in the top ten for the 16th time in the last 24 years.
