Cadillac XLR, 2004 - 2009
The Cadillac XLR is a sporty convertible with a solid folding roof and has been in production since 2004 on the GM Y platform it shares with the Chevrolet Corvette. The XLR uses a Cadillac Northstar engine, a 4.6 hp V8 with 320 hp. The car has a 6-speed automatic transmission. The XLR has standard equipment such as heated and cooled leather seats, wood inserts in the interior, 18-inch alloy wheels, side airbags, navigation, audio and DVD systems with a 7-inch screen. The folding roof is made of aluminum and is designed jointly with Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. The XLR was nominated for the North American Car of the Year 2004.
