Chevrolet Corvette, 2013 - 2019
The Chevrolet Corvette has always been a true icon of the American sports car. His vision is simple - it is a supercar for ordinary people. And indeed, the aggressively designed coupe with a decent V8 456 hp engine costs a quarter as much as the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Thus, the new generation Corvette has retained the old time-tested proportions - a long bonnet, a short cut-off rear end, a wide station. But all the details have changed. A fundamental change - the design style became sharp, angled lines. While it does provide a lot of aggression, it should be noted that this style of fashion dates back to the middle of the last decade and will no longer surprise anyone today. The distinctive four round headlights at the rear have also become angled and connected, while the four exhaust pipes at the rear look a bit comical. Well, it's an American car. On the other hand, the interior has significantly improved - it has become much more modern compared to its completely poor predecessor, and most importantly, the quality of collection has improved. Unlike European supercars, which are too extreme to drive on a daily basis, the Corvette is a great "cruise" on the highways. But with the change in car mode, the beast comes to life and feels that wild nature of the American V8. Clicking on the Corvette to the limit feels its pros and cons. The large engine displacement (6.2 liters) provides excellent torque, amazing V8 sound and, among other things, longevity. The power of the 456 hp may not be on par with Ferrari or Lamborghini's competitors, but let's wait for the ZR1 version and see if this relatively modest car will surprise everyone again at the Nurburgring.
