Dacia Duster is the first crossover of a Romanian company for a budget-conscious and practical buyer. The car, built on the B0 platform, is 4.31 meters long, 1.82 meters wide, and has a ground clearance of 20 cm. The SUV is ready to overcome a 30-degree steep incline and descend a 35-degree slope. The Duster's luggage compartment reaches 475 liters and increases to 1,600 liters when the rear seats are folded down. The SUV is offered with two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 4x4 variants are equipped with Nissan’s all-wheel drive system (believed to be related to the Japanese-developed Qashqai model), which allows the driver to choose one of three different driving modes: automatic mode where power is distributed between the front and rear axles automatically, power is recorded 50:50 distribution and a two-wheel drive mode for maximum fuel economy. Car buyers can choose from several engines: 1.6 l of 108 hp petrol or 1.5 l of 84 hp and 1.5 l of 104 hp diesel. The Dacia Duster is primarily aimed at emerging markets such as Russia, Turkey, Algeria or Morocco, but will also be sold in Europe. In some countries, the car may be marked with the Renault logo. Interestingly, a version of the Dacia Duster Competition for snow racing has been prepared, which will be driven by four-time Formula 1 champion Alain Prost in the Trophee Andros race.
