The Daewoo Kalos is a compact car manufactured by GM Daewoo. The first-generation Kala cars had two upgrades and three body styles - all built on a special platform that they didn’t share with anyone else. After the bankruptcy of Daewoo and after it was taken over by General Motors, Kalos became GM Daewoo’s first car. The first European models had the logo of Kala’s designer Design Giugiaro. Developer Giorgetto Giugiaro has said: "When we designed this car, we were going to produce an alternative to traditional lines and create new paths in car design."
