The Daewoo Matiz is a city car developed by South Korean manufacturer GM Daewoo, which has been sold worldwide since 1998 and has replaced the Daewoo Tico. The Matiz was only produced as a five-door hatchback with two engines. The car was designed by Italdesign Giugiaro and has been refurbished twice. The exterior design is based on the Lucciola model - a Fiat Cinquecento concept that was rejected by Fiat. The 0.8-liter gasoline engine was borrowed from Daewoo Tico. After delivery, this car became the best-selling Daewoo model in Europe for the next four years.
