Dodge Durango, 2004 - 2009
Formerly built on a Dakota platform, the Durango now has a platform specifically designed for SUVs, which has resulted in a smoother, less shaky, quieter ride. It has become more powerful, bigger and is the largest in its class, but easier to drive, more rotating. The body has a more sloping design to avoid the minivan’s image and reduce wind noise, but the Dodge’s typical radiator grille has been retained. Cons - lack of legroom in the second row, uneconomical, cheap dashboard.
