The Dodge Journey is a mid-range CUV manufactured by Dodge, a subsidiary of the Chrysler LLC. The car replaced the turf version of the minivan Dodge Caravan. In terms of size, the Journey is between the compact class Dodge Nitro and the high-end Dodge Durango. The car is aimed at Ford S-MAX buyers - it combines the features of a crossover and a seven-seater. Inside the Journey is spacious, the middle seats fold in a ratio of 60/40, the seats can be pushed back and forth. The car has many different storage compartments and there is enough space in the rear seats even for an adult. The interior of the Journey is perfectly planned, everything can be folded into a flat surface - even the front seats to carry long loads. The quality of plastic in the interior is better than in the Nitro and Avenger models. However, the Journey doesn’t like to be pressured in turns - the car tends to tip, the steering wheel doesn’t have good feedback. The 3.5-liter V6 engine will only be available in North America, along with a 6-speed automatic transmission. In other markets, the car will be available with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2.7-liter E85 fuel-efficient V6 engine. The all-wheel drive version will only be available with the most powerful engine. Outside North America, the Journey will be available with a Volkswagen-produced diesel engine.
