Introduced in 1994, the Fiat Punto (Italian for “dot”) was offered with three or five-door hatchback, convertible and commercial versions, ideal for city traffic. Thanks to the large selection of bodies, the sympathetic design and the good price, the car was adopted very warm. The Italdesign Studio company, which was responsible for the design of the car, thought that the times of angled cars like the Fiat Panda or Fiat Uno were over. That's why the Fiat Punto has been given a round design - a nice front end, vertical taillights at the rear, and a beautifully rising side window line that gives the car the least sportiness. Inside, an unusual-looking instrument panel was fitted - the full-width drop-shaped instrument panel was not only fun, but also practical. “The Fiat Punto would have a wide range of options, ranging in power from 54 hp to 136 hp. All versions were mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, there was no automatic transmission.
