Fiat Sedici is a compact SUV developed in conjunction with Suzuki (Sedici has a twin brother Suzuki SX4) and is designed primarily for European markets. Sedici is manufactured with the “smart” all-wheel drive system iAWD, which has 3 modes: front-wheel drive, automatic AWD and fixed 50:50 AWD mode. Since the car is driven by four wheels and is marked 4x4, mathematically it would be 4x4 = 16 - here “Sedici” means “sixteen” in Italian. The car was developed by Giorgetto Giugiaro Italdesign and is an alternative for buyers who don’t particularly like the chopped one-piece design. The Sedici was the official car for the 2006 Winter Olympics. Since 2007 in June, this model became the best-selling SUV on the Italian market.
