In addition to the hugely successful Nissan Juke, the Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008 models that have joined the ranks include the Ford mini microsover, the Ford EcoSport. This car is based on the Ford Fiesta and shares an excellent 1.0-liter Ecoboost engine. EcoSport has a well-known Ford design style that features trapezoidal body parts and lines. However, you will not call the car very beautiful or exclusive. The image is not improved by the spare wheel, which is mounted on the boot door in the style of the 80s. Inside, the Ecoboost has exactly the same panel as the aforementioned Fiesta, which also doesn’t provide the exclusivity that is so needed in the market for these small and youthful crossovers. The quality of the interior is also very limited. The advantages of this car are other - as usual in many Ford cars, Ecoboost has excellent handling characteristics, extremely well-balanced steering. Another downside is that the car was only rated 4 stars in EuroNCAP crash tests. The Ecoboost is a small car, so there’s not much space here either - sitting in the back seats isn’t very comfortable, and access to the luggage compartment is really awkward. The tailgate opens to the side, which requires a lot of space behind the car. EcoSport is offered in Europe with one of three different engines: a 1.5-liter 90 hp diesel, a 1.5-liter 110 hp petrol and a one-liter EcoBoost petrol with 125 hp.
