The eighth-generation Honda Civic introduced in 2005 has a whole new futuristic design worth a separate comment. Produced with 3 or 5-door hatchback bodies, this Civic stands out with its aggressive but one-volume design, which perfectly combines dynamism and monotonous practicality. The front boasts solid headlights that run all over the front and take the place of the radiator grille. The taillights are also similar in perfect combination with the rear spoiler. Triangular accents are visible in the exhaust pipes, fog lamps, turn signals in the mirrors and in the door handles. By the way, the 5-door model's rear door handles are hidden to give the impression of a coupe car. The overall impression is great! Its attractive exterior blends perfectly with the utmost rationality. This makes the car attractive not only on its exterior, but also on the most spacious cabin in its class and roomy space for luggage. The interior is no less intriguing - the two-stage front panel with electronic speedometer glows beautiful blue and is made of high-quality materials typical of higher-class cars. The car is started with the button like the Honda S2000. Mechanically, this European Civic differs from its brothers in the US and Japanese markets. The new Civic uses a simpler suspension - the front McPherson and the rear with gas shock absorbers instead of the sporty two-link suspension used before. The new suspension is more compact, so it provides a large luggage compartment - there is really a lot of space here that you would not say without looking at the car from the outside. The engines are a 1.4-liter i-DSI, a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol and a 2.2-liter i-CTDi turbodiesel. The most powerful 2.0-liter i-VTEC Type-R with 201 hp (148 kW) / 7800 rpm and 193 Nm / 5600 rpm is also produced. The new Civic is versatile - a dynamic and spacious, comfortable and sporty, economical and powerful car. The downside is the one - because of the less sporty suspension.
