Honda Element, 2003 - 2011
The Honda Element has been a compact SUV sold in the United States since 2003. It is powered by Honda’s 2.4-liter K-Series four-cylinder engines with the i-VTEC system, which is also found in the Accord and CR-V models. The engine develops 156 hp (116 kW) / 5500 rpm and 217 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The Element is built on a heavily modified CR-V chassis and is powered by front wheels or a Honda Real Time four-wheel drive system. Public opinion about the Element is very diverse - some consider it a comfortable, spacious, distinctive design, for others, the box-type style is not at the heart. Those who drive the car say it behaves incredibly well, pleasant to drive, economical, comfortable, others say it is noisy, not very roomy and has complaints about the windshield, which is sometimes missing for no reason.
