Hyundai Bayon, 2021 - present
In the wide range of Hyundai cars, there is room for another expressive newcomer - this time the company's smallest and cheapest crossover named Bayon. The tiny crossover or larger upgraded hatchback is based on the third-generation Hyundai i20 and is not offered with all-wheel drive. Therefore, Bayon certainly does not have a higher throughput, but more importantly for buyers - the original appearance. As the new Hyundai will have to compete with many attractive competitors such as the Volkswagen Taigo, Toyota Yaris Cross, Seat Arona or Peugeot in 2008, the only strategy to succeed is an expressive look. The new model first draws attention to the rear of its unseen design. The expressive lines and design elements inherited from other Hyundai SUVs reflect a new design direction from the manufacturer called Hyundai Sensuous Sportiness. Much attention has also been paid to the interior - here the designers tried to create a baby with maximum capacity and modernity in order to maximize the comfort of passengers and as much space as possible in the trunk. For the comfort of the driver and passengers, there are higher seats that are comfortable not only when driving but also when getting in and out. The manufacturer also paid a lot of attention to another much more important aspect - safety. The manufacturer claims that due to safety systems, this car may be one of the best in its class. Bayon comes with three weaker engines - the best version has a 1.2-liter 84hp petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission, the more powerful version has a one-liter turbocharged petrol engine. These gears are available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission. The most powerful, but at the same time the best version, has that reliable one-liter turbocharged hybrid engine that works in conjunction with an electric motor, allowing it to develop 120 hp. The latter model is only available with an automatic transmission.
