Hyundai continues to bombard Europe with great cars - this time the new and attractive Hyundai i30. The exterior of this model is designed according to the new design direction of Hyundai models. Similar body lines adorn the larger i40 and Sonata models. Innovative front grille, bold curved lines, elongated headlights running along the car's front wheel arches are the hallmarks of all the new generation Hyundai models. The i30 has become longer, wider, lower and more solid. The luggage compartment has become 10 percent larger and has a capacity of 378 liters. There is also an improvement inside - now soft plastic and even leather are used. Not to mention the expressive dashboard design. The Hyundai i30 has many luxury accessories, good safety equipment - standard 6 airbags and a standard electronic stability control system. On the road, the car behaves predictably and comfortably, only a little too much road unevenness is felt, as well as the famous work of the front suspension. But the steering is not disappointing - the i30, unlike the usual Hyundai cars, is sharp and informative. Thus, the car obviously ranks among the leaders in this crowded class.

Car description
Not long ago such brands as Hyundai and KIA were considered having as much quality as the current Dacia. They were quite cheap, poor-looking, unreliable and uncomfortable, but things luckily started changing: new design, more quality – everything is oriented to other type of customers, who have money and can afford buying a really good vehicle for themselves (but not the cheapest one). First thing you pay attention to is undoubtedly the design. It is far from being called “a square with 4 wheels”. I think it can be called as the most beautiful compact car. The interior is also worth taking a closer look: the panel lights shine in the deep dark blue color (unusual but very pleasant); the console design is quite futuristic and doesn’t remind German cars, meanwhile all other functions are within reach; large buttons with clear symbols makes everything easily to be used. Most of the materials are very pleasant; however, the interior door handles (which are used for shutting the door) are quite massive and made of hard plastic – this is not particularly pleasant to touch. Even though it’s not a major problem, but due to hard plastic used for the interior it gives rattling sound while driving on bumpy roads. My overall impression – it’s a very reliable and good quality car.
Performance
I have 1.4-litre engine. This car is more like for city driving and is certainly not the fastest, and yet has enough power. It’s really safe to ride this car on a highway. What I truly love about it is fuel consumption. It has a fuel saving system AKE (a German alternative so-called Start/Stop). No matter how fast you’ll drive in the city it won’t consume more than 55 mpg; meanwhile my fuel consumption on the highway is 110 mpg. Similar parameters are possible with Volkswagen Lupo.
Reliability, running costs
The car is brand new, thus it hasn’t depreciated yet. Of course if I decide to sell it now, I won’t get the same amount of money back, on the other hand this is unavoidable for every vehicle purchased from the dealer. As for the maintenance cost not much can be said either since I have my car insurance which solves every problem occurred.
Recommendations to buyers
If you need not the most powerful yet a compact car having sporty features and low fuel consumption, this is basically the best option for you. It’s definitely more enjoyable in every possible way than Volkswagen Golf :).
