The new Jaguar XJ is the fourth generation model, launched in 1968. The car has nothing to do with its predecessor - the all-new design is impressive and somewhat similar to the smaller XF, and its author is Ian Callum. The XJ model has really strong competitors: the ever-leading Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the sporty BMW 7 Series, and the new four-wheel-drive Porsche Panamera. The new XJ’s design, however, is unlike its competitors - a great new Jaguar face, coupe-style profile, and particularly interesting-looking rear window frames painted black to visually look enveloping the rear of the car. The luggage compartment though has a capacity of as much as 520 liters but doesn’t look very large. Inside, as befits all sorts of luxury, space for the feet - saturated, space for the head - a little small "thanks" to the sloping roof, but still enough. In general, the interior is surprisingly bright, which gives an even greater impression of space, which is achieved thanks to the huge panoramic roof. Everything is crowned by the excellent 1,200-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 20 speakers - great sound and power. The dashboard style is dominated by round elements, and you want to keep the steering wheel on and off. On the road, the car behaves very smoothly and gently as it fits a car of this class. All in all, it's a solid car that takes a big step towards perfection.
