The predecessor to the Wrangler is a World War II jeep also known as the Willy. The Wrangler debuted in 1987, was updated in 1997 and 2007 and is still popular today. The Jeep Wrangler is for those who want driving pleasure and freedom. Originally designed as a military workhorse for the military, the Wrangler is fully suitable for civilian life. The Jeep has undergone several changes, many of which are related to ever-increasing demands from buyers, but it is still easily recognizable as a true SUV. There are drawbacks as well. As with any off-road vehicle, there are many heavily worn parts here, not the best and most economical. However, the Wrangler is not a problem either - many details such as the door, the roof and the folding windscreen are easy to remove and replace.
